Latest sport psychology vacancies
Your regular round up of sport psychology, mental health and wellbeing job openings from across the UK, US and Australia
Each month, I run through the latest list of sport psychology, mental health and wellbeing vacancies from across the UK, US and Australia.
In this edition, you can take a look at roles and PhD placements with the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, English Premier League Club and Australian Athletics, to namecheck just a few of the organisations featured.
As ever, I’ve tried to cast the net relatively wide, so I’m catching roles that will be of interest, whether you’re a sport psychologist, clinical psychologist, academic, coach, performance director (or simply reading to keep tabs on the jobs market).
There will undoubtedly be adverts I’m missed - and there certainly seem to be slimmer pickings this month, in comparison to February - so if you’ve seen a paid posting that I haven’t highlighted, just get in touch via mindroomenquiries@gmail.com and I’ll add any relevant roles to the list.
From the NBA to England’s national teams: recent highlights from The Mind Room
Before we take a peek at the job posts, a quick rundown of recent highlights from The Mind Room:
In his latest column, Alex Auerbach, the Raptors' ex-Director of Wellness & Development, pinpoints the paper that changed how he psychologically prepared NBA stars - & outlines the lessons you can apply with your athletes
England women's football team psychologist Dr Kate Hays took time out to explain her framework for finding success on and off the pitch
The Single Study That Influences My Work More Than Any Other
If there's one question I get asked more than any other, it's this: "What separates the best in the world from the rest?"
How To Win
"You don't win by wanting to win. In sport everybody wants to win; that's the dream. But you win by having a really good strategy for success and having real clarity around what you need to do and how you go about your business."
Both pieces - as well as 200 additional articles and podcasts - are available to Mind Room Members.
